You may think of Wine Country as the best part of Sonoma County. But you'd be wrong.
In addition to all of the wineries and wine-tasting locales, we also have a plethora of other things to do!
Beaches! Bodega Bay features miles of beachfront and coastal bluffs. An unspoiled stretch of state parks and beaches along Highway 1, known as the Sonoma Coast, is ideal for hiking, swimming, boating, clamming, fishing, crabbing, and most importantly, building sand castles and relaxing. If the beach isn’t your scene, Sonoma County also has the Russian River and Lake Sonoma as popular destinations for other outdoor water activities such as canoeing, kayaking, jet skiing, and tubing.
Sonoma County's thriving regional park system consists of more than 50 parks including trails and open spaces and encompasses nearly 60,000 acres. Parks run the length and breadth of the county, from Gualala to Bodega Bay, and from the Pacific Ocean to the Sonoma Valley. Ideal for hiking, mountain biking, or leisurely walks. There are also countless playgrounds throughout the county for families to enjoy together.
Camping under the Redwoods is another popular experience, or be brave and adventurous at Sonoma Zipline Adventures and experience the Redwoods from the top of the canopy!
Want to go shopping? From the Coddingtown Mall, Downtown Santa Rosa Mall, and an outdoor mall at Montgomery Village, along with boutique shops throughout the county Wine Country does not disappoint with shopping options! From high-end to thrift, you’re bound to find shops that will leave your wallet just a bit lighter.
